I finally got a chance to visit the Prohibition exhibit at
the Constitution Center yesterday. It
did not disappoint!
Perhaps most impressive? Awesome interaction starting
with dress up in a suffrage sash and take a snap with a banner, an "is it legal" game, and quiz "would you be a dry
or wet?
I’m pretty sure though that the learn the Charleston by following dance
steps on the floor or the video game of run rumming will come in at the top for
most visitors.
Equally impressive?
The curatorial notes. My course,
history in the city, spent the second half of this semester analyzing narratives of Prohibition. The exhibit hit most of
them in glorious detail. More info up on
our class website after finals, but for now a few teasers!
